Take-It-Home This Week

Think about how you can take the message from Sunday and practice it at home. Here are some ideas…
Parents: At one of your dinners this week, have each family member participate in the prayer by thanking God for one specific thing on their plate. You could even take advantage of one of the last warm evenings we have this year and plan a family picnic!
Birth-Age 2:Everyone desires polite children; however, manners have to be modeled and taught! Encourage and remind your children to say “thank-you” (verbally or with sign language) often.
Age 3-Kindergarten: Sit down with your children and make a list of all the things you are thankful for. See how long you can make it! Then, encourage your children to draw pictures of some of the items. Hang the list and their pictures on the refrigerator or in their bedroom so that you can be reminded of God’s provisions often and remember to thank Him for specific things when you pray.
