Bible Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3: 5,6
Bible Story: Elijah and the Drought (I Kings 17:1-9)
In this story, Elijah did what God asked him to do–he told King Ahab about the drought that was coming. And then God gave Elijah directions to a place where he would provide bread and water for him–a flowing brook for water, and birds that brought bread and meat to him every morning and every night! Later, when the brook dried up, God gave Elijah more directions. He told him to go to Zarephath where there was a widow who would feed him!
Prayer: Dear God, I am glad that you are so much bigger than I am. You know all about my life. You see everything that goes on around me. You know what things worry or bother me before I even tell anyone. I am glad that I believe in you. Help me to trust you more each day. Amen.
