what we’ve been up to

Take a look at what we’ve been up to in Bright Beginnings on Wednesday nights this month!

One week, we played a little “Pin the Leper on Jesus”…

Before our turn, we shared what we are thankful for (did you know your children are thankful for YOU and their baby sisters and their two hermit crabs and pancakes?)…

and learned that Jesus loves to hear us thank Him!

Another week, we tested out our acting (as well as toilet papering!) skills…

We all helped each other dress up as lepers…

(such concentration!)

and then acted out the story.

Can you spot Jesus?

And here’s some of our artwork!

It starts November 16th and your kids won’t want to miss it!

wednesday nights in november

Here’s what your child will be learning about on Wednesday nights in Bright Beginnings this month:

Story: Ten Lepers (Luke 17:11-19)

10-lepers-slide1

Bible Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 107:1

Theme Song: Be Thankful!

To Do @ Home:
• See how many times you can “catch your child” saying “Thank You” over the course of a day; get a jar (or bowl or bucket, whatever you have!) and gather some rocks or marbles or just rip up some paper (your children would love to help you do that!). Every time you hear your child say “Thank You” have them put a marble in the jar. See how many they have at the end of the day and see if they can get even more the following day!

• Help your child write a thank you note this month. If they are young, encourage them to color or just sign their name while you do the writing. Allow them to choose who they would like to write it to and what they are thankful for and then send it!

don’t forget!

fall back

This used to be my favorite day of the year: an extra hour of sleep! Now, as a parent of small children, this just means said small children will be rising an hour earlier (aka 5:30 am) tomorrow morning.

Oh how children change EVERYTHING! 🙂

See you Tomorrow,
