To Do @ Home:
• See how many times you can “catch your child” saying “Thank You” over the course of a day; get a jar (or bowl or bucket, whatever you have!) and gather some rocks or marbles or just rip up some paper (your children would love to help you do that!). Every time you hear your child say “Thank You” have them put a marble in the jar. See how many they have at the end of the day and see if they can get even more the following day!
• Help your child write a thank you note this month. If they are young, encourage them to color or just sign their name while you do the writing. Allow them to choose who they would like to write it to and what they are thankful for and then send it!
This used to be my favorite day of the year: an extra hour of sleep! Now, as a parent of small children, this just means said small children will be rising an hour earlier (aka 5:30 am) tomorrow morning.
