Sailing the “C’s”
“C” of the Week: Celebration
Lesson: Celebrate Jesus!
Bible Verse: “I came so that everyone would have a great life.” John 10:10
Story: Parable of the Great Supper, Luke 14: 15-24
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I am so glad You are God’s Son. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I want You to be Lord of my life and the captain of my ship. Please guide me each day and help me through every situation to do my best. I cannot do it without Your strength. Help me to celebrate how You came to give this great life for everyone. Amen
(Parents: all children in the Backyard and K-Street were given the opportunity to pray this prayer with an adult today. Ask your child about it!)
Parents: Write a “thank-you” note to God this week. It will help you keep a “celebration” attitude and your kids will take note!
Birth – Age 2: Turn on the radio or put in your favorite worship CD and dance with your children! Remind them that you have so much to be joyful about and that you are dancing for Jesus!
Age 3 – Kindergarten: Plan a celebration dinner for Jesus! Have your children help plan the meal (or special dessert), make decorations, and even invite friends. At the dinner, talk with your children about what God has done for your family.
